Donetsk Railway station is a railway station in Donetsk, Ukraine. ==History== During the Great Patriotic war the old station building was destroyed. In 1951 architect Vorontsov built a new station building. The monumental building has a traditional Central axial diagram of the spatial organization. Central to the spatial organization is the lobby, which dominates in the overall composition of the building. The station square was built in the 1960s. The station is home to the Museum of the history and development of Donetsk Railway, which was opened on 4 August 2000 the 130th anniversary of the Donetsk Railway.
